Anonymous asked: what language are you talking to enpi in?

japanese he knows 2 commands in german though (heil hitler and los which is what i say to make him let go of something)

basically my brother speaks a million different languages and when he trained enpi he decided it would be cool to train him in japanese so thats why he knows the commands like that. back in his puppy days my brother talked to him in like 100% japanese but since my brother left for japan and later afghanistan that has then since changed and now only his commands are preserved in japanese 

i also left some other tricks out of that video like lay down or kiss

q: why do you have an FAQ

a: honestly someone had asked me to make one before and i hated the idea of it but the fact of the matter is there are questions that people frequently ask. and i feel bad about ignoring them so instead of just ignoring them, i’ll slap them down on a text post and link it off of my blog. thats about the extent of it

a: hi i’m david. i’m 17, i live in texas, and i am a single male. if you live in texas that’s great but dont ask me if i want to meet you because that makes me anxious 

q: how old is enpi/what breed is enpi/how do you pronounce enpi?

a: enpi (pronounceed like the letters NP) is my best friend, a 3 years old shiba inu.

q: where did the name enpi come from??

a: enpi comes from the japanese word for pencil, enpitsu. his full name is enpitsu desu walker. the name actually came from my brother (who was enpi’s original owner). the joke behind the name is that japanese 1 students who were attempting to ask for a pencil made the mistake of saying “bah! enpitsu desu” (literally hey! i’m a pencil) instead of “may i have a pencil.” i personally don’t think the joke is all that funny but my brother and the exchange students think it’s pretty hysterical.

a: yep

a: honestly it depends. if a bunch of people follow me at once, i can’t really check all of your blogs at once, but if someone follows me out of the blue i will usually check out your blog and follow you back if i like it. if you want me to check out your blog you can send me an ask that doesnt bother me
